About

Dr. B. is a board-certified pediatric dentist, educator, and lifelong learner dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care for children and their families. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and conservative approach to dentistry, she believes exceptional pediatric dental care begins with understanding the whole child—not simply treating individual teeth.

Dr. B. graduated with highest honors from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Medical Center, a renowned Level I trauma center, gaining extensive experience caring for children with a wide range of dental, medical, developmental, and behavioral needs.

In addition to caring for patients at Bee Happy Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. B. serves on the faculty at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she helps educate and mentor future dentists.

Her approach is intentionally conservative and individualized, with an emphasis on prevention, preserving healthy tooth structure, and choosing the least invasive appropriate treatment whenever possible. She also looks beyond the teeth, recognizing the connections between oral health and a child’s growth, development, breathing, sleep, and overall well-being.

Above all, Dr. B. cares for every child with the same thoughtfulness and attention she would want for her own family. She takes time to listen to parents, explain her recommendations, and involve families in decisions about their child’s care. Through continued advanced education in pediatric dentistry, prevention, growth and development, and airway health, she strives to provide comprehensive care that supports not only healthy smiles, but lifelong health.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. B. enjoys cooking and baking, reading, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves life with her mischievous green-cheek conure, Goli, who even speaks a little Farsi.

We want your child’s first visit with us to feel comfortable, positive, and a little fun.

Dr. B. takes time to welcome each child and introduce the dental tools in an age-appropriate way. Kids can choose their toothbrush and toothpaste flavor, and, when fluoride varnish is selected, their fluoride flavor too. Younger children and children who feel especially anxious are always welcome to sit with a parent during their visit.

The appointment includes a gentle cleaning and a comprehensive examination, including evaluation of your child’s teeth, gums, bite, oral structures, and orofacial growth and development. When appropriate, X-rays may be recommended to evaluate areas between the teeth that cannot be seen clinically and to assess developing permanent teeth.

Throughout the visit, Dr. B. uses age-appropriate techniques to help each child feel safe, involved, and successful.

And, of course, every visit ends with a prize!
